What could be a better way to trivialize the struggle of oppressed minorities in America than to name a beloved football team after a hideous scar on the face of one of the greatest cities in the world?
"We love the L.A. Riots!" people will say, as they shovel cash into expensive tickets, jerseys, and beer every Sunday as a momentary escape from an institutionalized culture of poverty, ever so graciously provided by someone who just last year earned 600,000 % the median income of LA's wealthiest neighborhoods and having a net worth that rivals the island nation of Fiji.
"Go Riots, Go!" people will cheer, remembering that racial tensions, wealth inequality, and police brutality are no longer issues in the United States.
I mean it is not like it is worse than "The Washington Redskins"
