Change the name Oklahoma, which translates to "Red People", to a more acceptable name.

Created by S.U. on June 19, 2014

Recently the Washington Redskins have received a lot of pressure to change the name of their organization because, among other reasons, it is an offensive name referring to Native Americans. We find it more offensive that a state would be named in the same vain. The name "Oklahoma" is a Choctaw Indian word meaning "Red People". "Okla" means "People" and homa, or humma, refers to the color Red. Further, the state flag contains an Osage Warrior Shield, this should be changed as well.
