It is proposed that the name of our nation be changed to the United Socialist States of America (USSA for short). Our current and original name of United States of America is descriptive of the union of individual states that comprise our nation. It also has built-in meaning about our form of government (That the states are "united" together to form this country, and that united entities are united because they choose to be as opposed to groups of entities that do not choose unity). As we have morphed in recent decades into a socialist nation, it seems appropriate that the descriptive term "Socialist" be included to be more representatative or what we are now.
