An autoeponym is a medical condition named in honor of an individual who was affected by or died as a result of the disease. Much like Lou Gehrig with ALS, Lance Armstrong has become the face for testicular cancer. His relentless fight against the disease is inspirational. His tireless efforts in the cancer community are commendable. And I believe it is a honor that should be bestowed upon him.
