Change the name of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs to the United States Department of Veterans Advocacy

Created by B.H. on December 21, 2012

The purpose of this proposal is to simply change the name in order to show that every employee of the VA is a Veterans Advocate first and foremost. This will allow the Veterans, their significant others, and dependents to feel more at ease whenever they enter into a VA facility. Upon entrance, they will know that everyone from the person serving coffee to the custodial worker all the way to the person in charge of the facility is an advocate and that the Veterans needs are the sole reason why they are there. This will also fight the stigma associated with the VA to transition over to something more welcoming. Gone will be the days of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Our newest greatest generation deserves a Department of Veterans Advocacy.
