We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Change the National Anthem

Created by L.W. on September 23, 2016

The third stanza of "The Star Spangled Banner" celebrates the killing of black slaves who fought for their freedom by joining the British to fight against the US in the war of 1812. Black people are not included in "the land of the free" and we should replace "The Star Spangled Banner" as our national anthem with another song that is inclusive of all Americans.
