America has changed greatly since 'The Star-Spangled Banner' was designated as our national anthem, and even more since it was written. The national anthem should reflect the national identity of it's country, and we feel that a description of military action, while surely part of our culture, isn't an accurate description of the true nature of the modern american spirit. Today's america is filled with scrappy survivors, doing what they have to do to get by, while simultaneously striving for something more. We feel no song represents that persistent spirit as well as the Journey classic, 'Don't Stop Believin'" and so, we ask that the national anthem be changed, to more accurately reflect the true American identity to the world.
