The current national anthem, the Star-Spangled Banner, was written in 1814. This was a time when the US had only 20 states and burning of the White House by the British troops was a current event.
It is time to update our national anthem to fit the current era. After careful investigation, Drop It Like It's Hot by Snoop Dogg seems to fit the role perfectly. Not only does it align with our extremely materialistic values, but it helps clarify our nation's allegiance to the Crips. It doesn't hurt that Drop It Like It's Hot was also named rap song of the decade by Billboard in 2009.
