Change the National Anthem to "This Land Is Your Land"

"The Star-Spangled Banner" is an extremely difficult song to learn and sing. The lyrics are poorly written and describe an obscure battle from The War of 1812. Moreover, the music is from an old English drinking song. It is not the kind of thing that awes and moves citizens. The fact that it is still our national anthem when many far superior choices are available is surreal. "This Land Is Your Land," composed by the great American folk musician Woody Guthrie, is the best of these alternatives. It is everything "The Star-Spangled Banner" is not: It is extremely easy to learn and sing, the lyrics celebrate the entire nation and are universally accessible and moving, and the music is simple yet highly effective. It is a perfect national anthem, and it should be officially instated ASAP.
