The Star Spangled Banner, our current national anthem, does not adequately represent or respect all people of this great nation. In the fourth stanza, it includes lyrics about slavery, and embarrassing relic of our country's younger days.
We need a national anthem for the 21st century, one that will have all those capable of standing, jumping for joy, and jumping for America.
We need a song that doesn't offend, but unifies us all with its enthusiasm.
Instead of standing motionless, with our hands over our hearts for a boring old tune, we need a song that drives blood through the hearts of all who hear it and has us dancing and singing along.
I believe Rob Zombie's "Dragula" will pump up our political leaders, soldiers, football men, and civilians alike.
All of us would stand.
