The United States is a great nation due to our spirit of brotherhood. Sadly, recent times have been decidedly divisive for our country. Whether it be the passion behind our individual political beliefs, pride in our ethnic heritage, or even our spiritual or philosophical beliefs; the American as an individual is a passionate and soulful figure. Since 1814, Francis Scott Key's 'Star Spangled Banner' has been our song. It has made our spirits soar and filled our hearts with an uniquely American emotion. But our country needs unity now more than ever. Our country needs healing and with it a new song to carry our passions into the 21 century. No other song than Slayer's 'Raining Blood' can possibly characterize what it means to be an American. Stand with me and let us sing our song.
