The current national anthem, "The Star-Spangled Banner" is relatively difficult to sing, and rather than speak about our nation, it speaks about our flag. A nation's national anthem should talk about the qualities that make the nation unique and that is easy for the citizenry to sing. In particular, the song "America" (My Country Tis of Thee) is easy to sing, and has a strong history of being sung in our nation.
