Our National Anthem has become outdated, and no longer reflects the nature of our country and its citizens. The National Anthem should be changed immediately to the "Team America:World Police" movie theme song (from the 2004 movie.)
By replacing our National Anthem with a catchy but timeless tune that embodies our hopes and ambitions, we rid ourselves of the uncomfortable cognitive dissonance the current National Anthem provokes.
Some may argue "Team America:World Police" theme song is vulgar, but so too is our society: Consider that ignorance of where Ukraine is located on a map is positively correlated with desire to militarily intervene there, and about a quarter of our citizens are not aware the earth circles the sun.
We deserve a new National Anthem that's relevant and real.
