Since we've become a nation in which we're willing to rationalize unprecedented invasions of privacy and the systematic erosion of our rights and standard of living, all in the name of freedom and prosperity, to say nothing of the continued humiliations suffered by people of color, the L.G.B.T. community, women, children, the elderly, the disabled, and the non-neurotypical, it is inappropriate that our national anthem be dedicated to a "land of the free and home of the brave," as this clearly describes a different country and thus is seditious. "I Love the Nightlife" will serve as a catchy substitute people could actually get enthusiastic about.
