The National Anthem of the United States is a symbol of the country, a representation of the experience of U.S. citizens from sea to shining sea. Unfortunately, the Star-Spangled Banner was written in 1814- a time few today remember.
We, the people of the United States, petition the government to change the National Anthem to something more representative of the modern U.S. experience— DJ Casper's Cha Cha slide, something almost any American citizen knows by heart. We all feel our heartstrings tugging when we hear the poignant verses epitomizing the ups and downs of life in the states, with such beauties as "Now it's time to get funky" and "One hop this time".
In the immortal words of the Slide; "Can you bring it to the top, like you never never stop?"
