Change the National Defense Authorization Act so that it does not allow indefinite detention of American citizens

Created by J.M. on January 09, 2012

The National Defense Authorization Act of 2012 contains an amendment which allows for the U.S. military to detain American citizens here or abroad indefinitely, without trial or charge, if they are allegedly suspected of terrorism. This is a clear violation of multiple amendments of the Constitution of the United States and opens the door for anyone to be detained for any reason under the pretense of terrorism.
