We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Change the National Legal Drinking age to 18

Created on January 11, 2017

Everyone drinks in college, and many people have gotten into trouble because they were not yet 21. I propose that the legal drinking age be changed to 18. This will not change the age that people are drinking at, it will simply make it legal for them to carry through with the actions they have already been doing. In many countries around the world the drinking age is even lower than 18. If at 18 we are permitted to make most major life decisions why are we not allowed to legal drink. I believe this will also promote more drinking responsibility and less dishonesty. This new law will also benefit the economy, because more people will be purchasing alcoholic beverages, especially due to the fact that drinking is such a large part of university culture.
