We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Change the national mammal to the feral cat

Created by B.P. on May 11, 2016

Recently, the bison was designated the national mammal. Bisons do not accurately represent the United States as they are located in only limited areas, mostly Yellowstone Park. In addition, bisons attack in average 1-2 visitors to Yellowstone each year resulting in serious injury.

The feral cat is located in every state in the United States. Moreover, they do not represent a threat of serious physical injury to U.S. citizens.

Therefore, the bison should be replaced with the feral cat as the national mammal.
