Our nation's coinage has featured the faces of male presidents since Lincoln was honored in 1909, followed by Washington, etc. I think the key word there is "Honored". All of these presidents have done great things for this country.
It is time to both honor women and the diversity of our great nation. Redesigning the nation's coinage as President Theodore Roosevelt did back in 1907 will serve to bring artistry back, by going back to the design of Lady Liberty, while making each Lady Liberty a distinct representation of the major races/ethnicities of the world: Caucasian, African American, Asian, Hispanic, Multi Racial. The dollar can be left alone with Sacagawea to represent Native Americans.
This is a way to show the world the United States is committed to equality and diversity.
