Change the observance of Presidents' Day to the Monday after Super Bowl Sunday

Created by E.H. on February 03, 2014

The Monday after the Super Bowl should be a federal holiday. Instead of adding a new holiday, I propose that we move the observation of Presidents' Day to the Monday after the Super Bowl. This would increase workplace productivity, as (let's be honest) nobody is going to get any work done today. We're all tired, hung over, or both, and most people will spend at least 30 minutes of their day today talking about the game instead of working. And that's only if they didn't call in sick. I don't live in Denver or Seattle--I can only imagine how useless the workers in those two major American cities are today.

Presidents' Day is not actually observed on any President's actual birthday. I'm pretty sure Lincoln and Washington, were they here to witness the Super Bowl, would agree with me.
