change the official date of Christmas from December 25th to January 25th to prevent winter from seeming so long.

This petition has been created in the hope that Christmas will be moved to January 25th for the following reasons:
1. Retailers will have more time to focus on Christmas sales after Thanksgiving is over.
2. The two times of the year when families get together will be more spread out.
3. The way the holidays are set now, when Christmas is over there is nothing left to look forward to the rest of the winter, making it a very long winter. Moving Christmas back one month would make the winter months seem shorter.
4. New Year's would become more celebrated if it was more separate from Christmas.
5. Although Christmas has been celebrated on December 25th for centuries, there are many positive benefits to pushing it back.
