Change the official weights and measures system to the metric system.

The United States of America is one of only three countries in the entire world that does not use the metric system as the official system of weights and measures- and one of the three countries is currently in the process of changing systems. There is little to no logical reason to remain with the US Customary System, also called the Imperial system. With its use of powers of ten and simple naming the Metric System is clearly superior. The International System of Units has used the metric system since 1960 and, the metric system has been in use since the 1800's. It is time for the United States to join the rest of the world.
