While The Star Spangled Banner is a nice song, America the Beautiful better illustrates the beauty of our country. The Star Spangled Banner tells about our violent past. While it tells of our struggle to gain freedom it leaves out how wonderful and beautiful America is. Amber waves of grain. Purple mountains majesty above the fruited plains. These versus conjure up in our minds eye all the wonderful places in this country.
