Our current first past the post voting system is flawed. It allows gerrymandering, and favors a two party system as was condemned by the framers of the constitution. The alternative vote system will prevent such travesties that degrade the integrity of this great nation by taking the power away from the people. Large numbers of people do not vote because they believe their votes count. We have the power to correct this injustice.
