Require employers of salaried managers and professional hires making less than $100K per year to pay time and a half for hours worked in excess of 40 per week or 8 hours per day.
In this era of record corporate profits, stagnant wages, and high unemployment it is simply wrong for employers to require uncompensated overtime from these workers under the assumption that they are among the executive ranks.
By requiring appropriate overtime compensation, employers will have to raise salaries, hire additional workers, pay appropriate overtime, or eliminate unpaid hours.
