Change the pay of all elected and appointed federal officials in relation to U.S. average salary in current ratios.

Created by T.B. on November 15, 2013

Our federal officials are grossly overpaid and do not support a free and growing economy. Therefore, I petition for the salaries of ALL elected and appointed federal officials to be linked in relation to the current U.S. salary. So, if we prosper, they prosper. Lets say the average salary in this country is $50,000. By changing the salary of the 528 non-officer congresspersons to $50,000, instead of spending $91,872,000, we can spend $26,400,000 annually. And by maintaining the current ratios as we work up the chain, we can ultimately save $71,972,673 per year. Imagine that money going to better uses. Cancer research, education, infrastucture, the national debt.
