To change the pay and benefits of Congress and the Senate to match those of active duty and retired military.

Junior Senators and Congressmen/women would receive the pay and benefits as a Junior Officer in the United States Military, such as a Ltjg in the Armed Forces or an Ensign in the Navy. Medical benefits will be available only as long as he is serving. After his service he would be eligible for benefits equal to but not to exceed those of a military member who was injured during military service. Those who serve in excess of 20 years would be eligible for retirement benefits such as medical care, at a payable amount equal to that of a senior officer, not to exceed a Captain in the Navy or a Colonel in the Army or other branches. If that 20 years does not equal the members age of 62 they cannot draw that retirement benefit until their age of 62.
