Change the pay of government officials to reflect the median income of their constituents.

The pay and allowances currently enjoyed by members of the House of Representatives, the Senate, the VPOTUS and POTUS do little to ensure they understand the economic situations of their constituents. The current situation ensures that "Federal Public Service" is about power and position rather than service. Please compel congress to pass legislation mandating that their pay be limited to the median income of those they would represent. POTUS and VPOTUS would be limited to the median national income. ALL income above that amount would be taxed at 90% regardless of source. Travel and other expenses associated with fulfilling the duties of the office would be paid by the official, from their own pay. As the income of the people rises, so does the servant's. Everyone benefits.
