Pay rates for elected federal officials should be decreased by 50%. (Senate, House of Representatives, President, VP, Speaker of the House, Senate Minority Leader) Any further pay rate increases should be put on the ballots for nationwide vote, and include a raise in minimum wage by the same percentage rate. If such raise is approved then it should not come into effect until the next congressional cycle.
