change the petition system on this site to more realistically represent the people of a single state.

Created by R.G. on January 16, 2013

When petitions pertain to a single state having a set signature requirement is unrealistic and unrepresentative of our nations composition.

To require the state of New York, or California with a population of over 38 million, to submit 100,000 signatures is not the same as asking the state of Vermont or Wyoming a state whose population is under 600,000

This system only makes it so we do not have an equal voice in our government.

When the people of a state in this union support an issue or cause they deserve to have a voice and receive a response.

We ask that when a petition pertains to the issues or wants of a single state that the signature requirement be based off of that states population.
