Change the Petition threshold for attention from 25,000 to 1.

Created by S.M. on November 15, 2012

Petitions to petitions.whitehouse.gov are currently slated so that any petition which reaches a threshold of 25,000 signers will be addressed by the White House, allowing for a potential redress of grievances. Presently, this means a lot of angry people are not getting proper redress, because they cannot win a popularity contest to have others sign off that their grievance is valid.

Requiring an additional 24,999 people to sign off that one's grievances are valid is cruel and unusual punishment for those solitary cranky bastards who just want to create a petition and be done with it. This petition, then, is to change that threshold to be more responsive to the individual seeking redress that Fox News won't give them.
