Liberty is not free. Freedom cannot be maintained without responsibility and participation. Freedom of choice and financial freedom are both earned by acting on and embracing the opportunities and the life paths that this great nation provides to it's citizens. I believe we should add two words to the Pledge Of Allegiance. Those two words are: responsibility and opportunity.
Freedom comes with opportunity and responsibility to ourselves, our families, our fellow citizens, our country and the world. Our country is the land of many opportunities and we should be proud of it. Our children should speak the words, opportunity and responsibility every day, and know their meaning.
The Pledge should read "one nation under God, with liberty, justice, responsibility and opportunity for all."
