There are laws that allow police to abuse their power and are no longer protecting the public. The population of jails in USA has increased by 2,000,000 in the last 40 years. Violent crime has been cut in half in the same period. There has been more than 5000 people killed by the police which is more than the soldiers lost in the Iraq war.
There is a clear change in the policing of this country and the laws no longer protect the public, there are no training to emphasize the notion of protecting the public and the police state is now a reality in every corner of this country.
The public has to be federally protected against anyone including the police that has a weapon and there has to be a complete overhaul of the laws protecting the public.
