International students today are only allowed to take one online class per semester. Let me paint you a scenario. Say an individual wants to study a degree that is only available online. A resident student can take as many online classes per semester as they feel they can perform well in, whereas, an international student is only allowed to take one class per semester. This means that if a program comprises of 18 classes, the international student will need 18 semesters, 6 years, to complete the program. What any good student wants is to complete their program on schedule. Understandably, the U.S wants to monitor the activities of international students, but what gain is it for both parties if a good student cannot go to school in a timely manner?
