Our separate political parties-Democrat, Republican Independent, Libertarian, Green, Tea, etc.-are categorized by broad philosophies that divide the American people into competing teams. These teams spend more time, energy and money fighting against each other, than working for America. Representatives should be elected based upon their integrity and actions, not their affiliations. Voting in Congress should be based upon the representatives' judgement, not along party lines. Once a president is elected by the American people, all of Congress should work together to do their very best for the country, based upon their good judgement and the needs and desires of their districts. Congress must lead with America's best interests at heart, not those of a favorite team.
