The Electoral College is an antiquated system made necessary by the poor communications and travel of the 18th century. It has devolved into 6 states determining the election of our President in 2012. It's time to change the process to popular vote, so that every citizen has skin in the game. The POTUS needs to encourage the states to amend the Constitution to change the method of electing the POTUS to popular vote.
