Due to the extensive nature of today's presidential campaigns, it is necessary to reconsider presidential term limits. During the past two election cycles, the American public has been excessively inundated by media coverage and campaigning. Additionally, this inhibits the President's ability to serve as Commander-in-Chief.
By extending the Presidential term limits to 2 six-year terms, the President, and his or her administration, will be able to focus more intently on the problems facing our nation. To accommodate this change, we must also allow President Obama to run for a third term, should he choose to, thereby permitting him a full 12 years as President.
