It is pretty much guaranteed that you will be denied your disability claim on the first filing. Despite documentation from board certified doctors that your impairment is such that you cannot work, they want you to see their doctors. A person filing such a claim can be suffering from a wide range of issues, physical or mental. So most of us are left without immediate relief. We refile another mountain of paperwork. Some hire lawyers who take 1/3 of the first disability check in payment, all the while suffering in pain or depression with no means of support. Some disabilities are visible, some are not. Symptoms can be sporadic or chronic and any disability can be painful mentally and physically.
