Currently, Robert H. Richards IV is making headlines for his horrid acts on his children. This man is not receiving any prison time, as almost 100% of American citizens would feel he deserves. This is not an unique occurrence, however, but a common practice. The only reason our government has to keep punishments as light as they are, is if they are covering for their own secrets. I like to think this isn't the case, so please start some form of bill to make punishments harsher on child molesters. Child molesters should never be allowed back into society, and studies show they never change. I'm tired of my tax dollars supporting programs to rehabilitate child molesters. Current laws have someone in possession of a joint going to jail longer than a violent child rapist.
