Change the Railroad law for spouses of deceased railroad workers.

Created by M.A. on January 15, 2016

This petition is to change a law. It's the law that cuts off retirement benefits of spouses of deceased railroad workers. When a spouse of a deceased railroad worker remarries they are immediately cut off because of this law. This law interferes with the Catholic religion. It forces them to either live apart or give up their religion because of a law that was enacted in 1934.
Its time this law is repealed and or updated. It is not fair to Widows/widowers to have to give up their religion just to keep a benefit that they deserve to get in the first place.

Please sign this petition to change this law.
