Change regulations concerning travel of the President of the United States, the Vice President, and the Cabinet.

Created by D.R. on March 26, 2013

News accounts this past week showed travel bills for the Vice President of between $400,000 to $500,000 for one night stays in Paris and London, and other exorbitant bills related to limousine service. These hotel contracts were listed as sole source justifications based on security and other needs for Mr. Biden and his staffers and security detail. The absurd travel costs for members of this Administration (and members of Congress) are a slap in the face of many Americans who are struggling daily to cope with the costs of living daily life.

Travel should be restricted to only those diplomatic and other occasions deemed absolutely necessary, and all travel costs should be sought by competitive bid to ensure the best value for taxpayer dollars. More accountability needs to be shown to all.
