The American people have the right to know where their food is made, what is in their food, and if any of the ingredients are suspected or known carcinogens.
Currently, processed foods do not contain where the food is made only the distributor to make it appear to be made in America but could be from places like China.
Chemical companies have to have standardized names for ingredients so why doesn't the food companies. If I don't want to eat high fructose corn syrup or aspartame then I should be able to quickly scan the ingredients for the common name not have to look for HFCS, corn sugar, amino sweet, etc. This is very important for those with allergies.
