Cause all members past and present of The United States House of Representatives and United States Senate to drop their current retirement system and bring them on to the same retirement system as all other federal employees and presidential appointees.
The FEHRS system is the retirement/pension for all other federal employees, including presidential appointees. The 100% salary for life retirement that the current members of the United States Congress receive is a handicap to our budget, and the national deficit.
Even our military Members only receive half pay and health care for 20 years of service.
It is time we start looking at elected positions as what they were meant to be, Service to our nation.
