Change the rules allowing people who have had weight loss surgery to serve in positions in the military.

Created by M.B. on March 29, 2014

The military, as of 2013 regulations, considers weight loss surgery a permanent disqualification for any and all military service. The people of the weight loss community are being discriminated against as we are not considered disabled in any way, we can run marathons, play sports, fight in arenas but we are not allowed to serve our country because we took a step to better ourselves. It is time this discrimination ended, let us live our dreams and serve our country since there is no medical evidence saying that we are unable to serve in any branch. There may be jobs that we are not qualified for but let us serve and do those jobs we can do and do well. Equality for all.
