CONGRESS PASSED THE NDAA (NATIONAL DEFENSE AUTHORIZATION ACT of 2012 in this bill section1021 states the PRESIDENT has the authority to detain American CITIZENS both abroad and on US soil. Individuals who have been ''substantially'' supported by Al Qaida ,the Taliban or associated groups. The detainees may be held by the military without a trial, until the hostilties as defined by the notorious AUTHORIZATION For Use of Military Force Act of 2002, which was almost entirely based on operations in Iraq.
section 1022 states The President's authority to detain individuals suspected of ''terrorist' activities'' or associations is not exclusive to FOREIGN SOIL. Those captured within the UNITED STATES are subject to MILITARY DETENTION
