The Sex Offender Registration Act is too severe. People should not be classified or put on a "tier" level just due to their crime. They should go through a process to be analyzed and to not be put in a category.
Meaning: If someone was convicted of a sex crime, but was not at a school or a park, should have the right to still participate in school functions (their kids sports; graduation) and go to the park. If someone is convicted and the crime was committed on school grounds or at a park, then they should not be allowed to be in that area.
There are many extensive regulations that are unnecessary.
The length of the registration is outrageous. If someone has not committed another crime, within 25 years, they should be removed. Registration for the remainder of anyone's life is excessive
