Petitions.whitehouse.gov includes this option: "Sign up for email updates from President Obama and the White House on this and other issues."
It should include an alternative to "Sign up for email updates from President Obama and the White House on this, but not other issues."
I may wish to voice my opinion, but not enter a dialog involving future petitions and issues advocate by this site.
