Change Social Security Disability Income SGA to be the same for all disabled recipients (Blind SGA/Disabled SGA = SAME).

Created by S.H. on February 12, 2013

Substantial Gainful Activity for Social Security Disability Income should be the same for all recipients. It makes no sense that blind recipients can earn more without losing benefits. Blind expenses are nowhere near the expenses of individuals who use power wheelchairs, have attendants, or who have severe intellectual disabilities or other chrinic conditions. Making all SSDI SGA the same as Blind SGA simplifies SSA processes for SSA employees; reduces errors in processing; increases tax revenues with increased wages; increases potential income and quality of life for disabled citizens; allows for partial employment to full employment; will result in reduction of people on SSI and welfare programs; increases number of people paying Medicare premiums vs free medicaid.
