To change Social Security to include a beneficiary so surviving spouse may collect deceased Social Security and theirs

Created by T.C. on July 21, 2014

Currently Social Security only allows a surviving retired spouse to make a choice between their Social Security and the deceased. Social Security should allow a beneficiary listing just like private industry 401k's and pensions where the named beneficiary can collect their check and the deceased. It is unfair for the government to take the years of funds a spouse has paid into the system without allowing a surviving spouse who still has the same expenses and escalating costs of living to make a choice of one income or the other. They are entitled to both.
