Today, a veteran may be discharged from the Military due to Service Connected injuries. Due to these injuries a panel of Medical Staff make a recommendation to the Veterans Administration as to whether this veteran is able to work. Based on this panel's recommendation, a veteran is determined to be 100% disabled and unable to work.
However, this same veteran is unable to get Social Security Disability benefits. This is because a panel of clerks determine if this person is able to perform *any* job and receive pay for it. They do not consider the question of whether a company will hire this veteran. They do not consider the question of if this veteran will be able to maintain this job.
Join in asking for the Social Security rules to recognize the VA determination of disability.
